My kitten was the same when I got her, she had been allowed to play with peoples hands in her previous home. To stop or prevent an attack you can hiss at her, spray with water , use a whistle or if you can wolf whistle loud enough this will also do, before the loud noise or water ensure you say no in a loud authoritve voice, ensure your hand is limp do not suddenly pull away as cats instinct is to attack whatever is moving. At this point the cat may still be holding your hand but not biting or scratching, slowly pull your hand away and keep saying no. If she attacks again use the same dicpline method you have just used till you can free your hand and walk away & ignore her. To stop an ambush on your feet watch for her and just before she attacks stop walking & say no, once she realises she's been spotted 9 times out of 10 they give up, if not use the above disipline methods. A scratch tree is a must, to show kitten how to use it (as they dont know what it's for at first) run a toy up and down so she chases it. The only thing that really eliminates the playful but destructive behaviour is persistence on your part company can help. Do read up on introducing cats though as it can take time for them to like each other.

That can be pretty normal. Kittens are highly active and very frisky. Some kittens can be holy terrors, though, and this may be the case with yours. It's a natural but unwanted behavior in a pet. Start disciplining your kitten when he/she does those things. You can keep a spray bottle filled with water nearby, and give your kitten a quick squirt when he/she bites or scratches. Discipline is very important at this age. Without it, you may end up with a large adult cat with an ill temper. Good luck!

sounds like a perfectly normal energetic and happy little cat to me - all kittens do that - she'll stop about 6months old or so, some abit earlier, depends on whether they feel grown up yet! She sounds a darling not a psycho. She's enjoying being with you and trusts you. She will grow out of using you as a tree though, rest assured.

Scratch her back. I have a taken a ferrel kitten that left the mother at 4-6 mths, (The mother is still around) and she does not use her claws when playing with me. All the other cats I have had always did and they were always domestic cats. I assume that the mother cat taught the kitten well.

Some cats are more aggressive than others. My daughters birth cat Ceasar bites and scratches his whole life (he's 13 yrs old.)
But of course they did teeth on each other.
Try holding her until she calms down for awhile every day.
But I hate to say it, that may be her personality.

The cat is not psychotic, just has no playmates, other than you,&
is going to use you to relieve frustration & boredom.Sometimes
to develope hunting skills in abscence of a sibling.
Feline behavior can be extreemly difficult to understand,...unless
you try to think with a feline mind.
LOTS OF LUCK ON THIS ISSUE,unless you are truly dedicated.

kittens do that. I have a 21/2 yr. old cat that still does that when she plays with me. Spaying may help, but it didn't with mine. You could get another kitten for her, or try catnip toys.

She will get out of it in time, I would give her a little shake and tell her NO, she shouldnt be
doing that, they are a little wild at that age,
good luck.
