It depends when the doors lead to if they lead to outside its a case of scold him when he does do and praise him when he doesnt if they dont lead to outside invest in some stay away spray, we cant smell it but they can and dont like the smell and stay away from that general area, Clove oil maybe another solution.

i had that same problem but my boxer used to open them up and let herself outside. well i wasnt to happy with all the big scratches in it. i solved my problem by hooking a electric fence up to the handle( i grabed that so many times lol ) but if your dog is scratching the wood then thats a different story. try getting some bitter apple spray and put that on your door and if you catch your dog in the act then spray some of that at him. make sure you dont get it in his eyes thou.. hope that help some good luck
