I have 8 kids and need an easy to maintain kitchen floor. I'm looking at a Mannington sheet vinyl, but it is highly textured. Concerned about dirt in the grooves. Do you have this floor?
Am considering marmoleum as an alternate. Thank You

At school, I have this project called Career Choice. I WAS thinking about being a chemist, but chemicals might be explosive and dengerous. So I decided to be an Interior Decorator since the whole family was an Interior Decorator. Do I have to go to School just for decorating the inside of a house? Do I really need a degree and a cirtificate to decorate the inside of something?

My boy friend is clumsy...he is not a drunk but he spills wine all over my house and then takes off...cause he knows I get upset. I have a designer home, which I designed. He has spilt wine on my couch two times and in my bedroom two times. Last night he spilt wine again on my couch and the walls...they now have to be repainted..and my white rug needs to be replaced. What would you do or say if your boyfriend did that I still wanted to drink his wine in your home?

What would you do? Yesterday my boyfriend brought roses over and a bottle of wine. He loves wine...I love roses. The problem is he is clumsy. I've know him six months ...and he has spilt wine four times.I also have a designer home. He spilt wine on the arm of my$ 25,000. couch the first time. I felt sorry for him. He didn't mean to and thank goodness the wine came out. Then three weeks later he split it on my white carpet in my bedroom and he left cause he didn't want me to be upset with him. Then month later same rug and he ruined it. Now last night he was in the living room and spilt his wine all over the floor and down two walls that are now stained and have to be repainted ( designer painted).
I got very upset with him...he was not drunk...it was his first glass. Then he gets angry at me for getting angry at him. The rug has to be replaced in my bedroom no easy chore..the furniture is very heavy...and my two walls which where gold are now red, need re-painting.What would you do?

Sorry there's no picture so I'll try to decribe it as best I can.

Looks pretty much like an ordinary brass lamp socket.
Markings:
EDISON-PATENTS
200 V. 50 C.P. (candle power)

It has a turned wood handle, about 4 inches long coming out of the bottom of the socket(so it can be held like a flashlight) and has a cloth covered cord going through the center of the handle.
The socket, instead of having a cardboard insulator on the bottom, is lined with mica with the base contact for the bulb coming out of a hole in the side of the socket.
The switch on the side of the socket is very large and marked with 'BRYANT'

The plug, also very large and round, is made of ceramic and is \ marked 'PAULDING' - 3 A. 250 V. and the two prongs on the plug, about and inch apart, are pretty normal looking except for the fact that they both bend at a right angle in the same direction

I couldn't find anything like this on Ebay or any other site so I am eager to solve this mystery!

I am thinking of buying a ranch house which has an unattached 1 car garage basically taking up a big chunk of backyard. There is plenty of room on the side of the house for the garage. What would be involved in moving the garage forward closer to the street, costs and such. Has anyone accomplished anything like this? How? What would it cost to demolish the garage and rebuild one on the side of the house?

thanks
I assume the garage is on a concrete slab? If I demolish the

thanks

Does it make any difference in price whether the stamping is horizontal or vertical? Is the going rate around $10.00 a square foot? I have a quote from a great company that quarantees their work...but it is coming in at more than $15.00 a square foot. My driveway is only about 800 square feet and my patio area is around 250 square feet. Is this the problem? Are they charging more because it's a small job? Or, does it make any difference in price that I'm asking for two different patterns? I need to have an answer tomorrow for my contractor. My contractor won't let me contact the sub on this. . . That's why I'm asking you for help!
