I currently have very nice oak cabinets and white appliances. My walls currently have green/burgandy sponge painting all over white walls and burgandy trim with a burgandy/green border near the ceiling. It is too loud for me. I was thinking of painting the walls a creamy soft yellow. I don't want to change the burgandy trim if I don't have to. Also, I was thinking of changing the flooring to either terrecotta colored tiles (or lineloum) or maybe a neutral/beige tile. It is a rather large kitchen with medium sunlight, but very nice receding lights in ceiling. I also have an oak island in the middle of the room, and a white table and white chairs with oak legs. Your thoughts would really help me. Thanks!

P.S. Can I paint directly over the sponge painting?
