It is the BYVIC MULTICOLOUR fABRIC-(red floral)

I need more seating in my new house (which I haven't moved into yet). I don't want everything to match exactly and was looking for something that would go with my navy blue couches but be quite different. I thought I could throw some red, green blue cushions on my blue couches to tie it in with the chair. Do you think that will work.

I am getting new flooring put in and have pets. I have bad allergies so I thought hard floor would help with that too. Which is better, ceramic tile or laminate, and why?

I am 76 years old and my husband is 77. He is diabetic and does dialysis 3 times weekly. our bath rooms are small and the doors are narrow, so that makes it hard for him to get his power chair in the bath rooms. So we need bath rooms made over. thank you so very much.

I have always had wood floors, I am taking a rented council flat. being on a tight budget I usually get felt backed carpet, friends tell me its no good for bare concrete floors, underlay would add £200. Whats your experience.

I have taken down a row of 10-12 "lathed" spindles from a banister, and I hate to throw them away, because they are beautiful. I have been looking at them for a week or so trying to think of a project to do with them, but I am kind of stumped! Anyone who has done anything interesting with spindles?

I have thought about building some type of table and using them for legs, but it seems pretty lame..... Cmon Yahoo! Community, help me out!

My cousin decorated our flat by pasting lining paper onto the walls then painting on matt white paint. Why is it that whenever someone touches the wall it leaves a grubby mark? Our hands aren't that dirty! Is it something to do with the process she used?

Have varnished pine wood ceiling which we intend rubbing down with sandpaper to paint a light colour. Sometimes when I read what to do it refers to priming the ceiling and at other times it's says to undercoat the ceiling. Being a mere novice at DIY I am confused if this is the same thing? Does it just mean a coat of flat paint? Also at present unsure if this ceiling is going to be white or going in to creamy/beige what would be the first colour I would put on to the wood? Thanks to everyone who replies.

Okay, I'm in a very small apartment, Think studio, with a tiny room attached for a bed and the bathroom.. ~.~, Married to a media loving husband, so in our one room, 2 computers, tv, many game systems, keyboard, and tons of dvds/cds........ we have a wall of bookshelves, with nothing but books/ and cds etc... and barely room for a couch......

I want a nice looking place and to decorate for christmas o.O;; but how can i decorate over so much media and clutter? without spending too much money? (im poor...)

i want to hide the bookshelves, at least, i can ignore the media area......... the bookshelves eat up the whole room......
any ideas how to hide them a bit? o.O;; does adding a curtain rod with drapes over them sound too tacky? is it possible to "decorate" for christmas over the clutter and media things? (our furniture is far from nice) ..... lol does tinsel over a cluttered bookshelf sound bad? a snowman on a cluttered comp. desk?

would love ideas, ^_^
