i would like to have an indian(as in india) inspired bedroom but this project is taking off kinda slow. i need suggestions for eveything. from the color of paint to where to find cheap indian decour and what gods and goddess to put in there. i know some about hinduism and i am open to it, so please BE POLITE and let me know what i could do. BE NICE!!!!!!!

I have a beautiful home but the vinyl posts are attached with a u-shaped metal bracket to the concrete porch. There are bolts with nuts on one side of each post, on the opposite side is the head of the bolt, and the other two sides are smooth. I would like to dress these posts off somehow, but am at a loss as to how to proceed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have been given double knit polyester, in many yards, and the color is a soft country-green. My question is, could I make curtains with these and with this material, would they look okay? I have a pattern and am experienced at sewing. Just unsure of the material for curtains.

I saw a picture of this bed on the Better Homes + Gardens website and the source was "Living Room" magazine. I cannot find anything other than platform beds online- and this bed was a piece of wood flat on the floor and a thick mattress. Any ideas?

I am wanting to buy a mid19th century brick plantation home. It's sits on 3.8 acres. A contractor has inspected the place and says that the house is very sturdy. The interior walls are nothing but the studs. It has the original windows (28 tall ones) which all need replaced. The electric wiring, plumbing, furnace and water heater are brand new--never been used. There's $36,000 worth of work to be done on the interior...just enough to make the house liveable. The brick work is going to be $28,000. The house with the land is selling for $40,000. My credit score right now is 599 (fair) and my boyfriend makes enough to cover a $500/mo pmt. Our rent right now is $500 and we'd move right into that house so we'd only have the one pmt. There are some other necessities we'd need to get for that house...like sinks and toilets since they didn't have indoor plumbing back then. So, I guess we'd be looking at trying to get a $150,000 loan.

I want to redecorate my living room but I cant decide whether to do the floors wooden or get carpet again.

I have leather sofas and the walls are magnolia with dark red on the wall which has the fire place. If you think carpet, can you please advise what colour will match the walls?

I live in a mobile home and several years ago i painted my son's room with wal mart paint. it didn't bond very well and peeled with the slightest touch. now i'm ready to do it right but i'm filling holes and sheet rock joints with mud and the second coat is making the paint raise. someone please tell me what to do to salvage this room and save me a bunch of work.
