an Indian bedroom???HELP?

Question

i would like to have an indian(as in india) inspired bedroom but this project is taking off kinda slow. i need suggestions for eveything. from the color of paint to where to find cheap indian decour and what gods and goddess to put in there. i know some about hinduism and i am open to it, so please BE POLITE and let me know what i could do. BE NICE!!!!!!!

Its Really great u want to make ur bed room Indian :
for this use
1: a bed of wood on which handwork or carvings are done generally its size is big.
2.decorate the entrance of ur room with plastic flowers garland.
3. Use Scented Sticks and light them 4 hrs before going to sleep.
4 place the candels of ur room in small dishes made of red soil known as 'Diya'.
5. please do not hang ANy God or Goddess picture or painting or statue in ur Bed room coz it is said it brings bad luck until and unless u worship them daily.
6.Use indian handicrafts like carpets,paintings,furniture.

I am an estate Liquidator and did a sale last year for
some folks who had such a bedroom!
It was painted a nice terra cotta color on the walls, with cream surround moulding, Jute arear rug on the floor, the drapes were wood beaded under curtains with very colorful over drapes, tab tops in many inspired patches of Indian cloth sewn together! Lovely! Nearly EVERYthing came from
a nearby Pier ONE store!
Perhaps you have one near you!

I m an Indian so I preffer u to buy the watch of Lord Ganesh n also the statue of Ganeshji put that in entrance means near the door then hang some paintings of Rajasthani women n men n also WARLI paintings which u can get only in India Then make a room of God as we called that DEV GHAR means house of god n we pray n wash them everyday which we called it as Puja. Then Keep any Indian carpet in ur Hall means living room n paint walls as u like then always keep some burning sticks means any sented stick near god. this will definately produce an Indian enviounment. U can also keep the statues of Lord hanuman or Lord Saraswati etc. Bcoz here r 36crore of gods. So decour ur room. N i want to tell u that my own name is Prasad. which means the god given sweet.
