100 years old is the standard to be considered antique for furniture (and most anything else). Newer than that is considered "vintage."

I was an antique dealer for about 30 years so here goes...An antique is 100 years or older,
50-100 years is vintage and anything newer is a collectible.I am what you call a collectible vintage...older than 50 years old but still worth saving.

When the model is not available in the market that becomes a piece of antique.
