Hardwood floors or carpeted floors?

Hardwood floors because you can run around on them without worrying about stains, ripps, ect...

Hardwood they are so much easier to clean when you have 3 cats. The only downfall is we have a basement with old wood floors so it gets super cold in our house in the winter, but if it had proper padding or what not underneath it wouldn't be like that, we are slowly replacing all of our wood floors with new ones and insulating they look so nice, the only place I have carpet is upstairs and I'm yanking it out and putting wood floors in.

Hardwood. I have had both and I would take hardwood any day. When you see how dirty hardwood gets (however easy to clean) and you think Yech all that dirt would be in the carpet and I don't think a vacuum can get it all. It is easy to clean up spills, it does not get dusty, musty or stinky like carpet. It makes the space look bigger and had a richer look and feel then carpet. You can accent with area rugs to make it cozy and change them easily if you tire of them or they get dirty or you want to change the decor.

I like carpet best because hardwood floors aren't as comfortable to walk on when you are barefoot & I love to be barefoot...hardwood is too cold...unless it's for the kitchen...then I don't care if it's cold...it just looks better in a kitchen & for obvious reasons to....which do you like? : )

Carpet because hardwood causes pains in your legs and feet.

Hardwood floors they bring a more sophisticated look to a home. I have them and love them eventhough you have to clean them every day due to the dust that can be seen right away.

carpet wood is cold in the winter time and carpet is softer to sleep/lay on

carpet is warmer and,comfy,and things don't break as easy as on hard floor.
