Just bought a new couch and don't know what color to paint the walls. I don't want white (boring), and my couch is kind of an eggplant color. I have hardwood maple floors that are pretty light. The accent colors in the pillows are light yellow and light green, I'm afraid that might be a little much?

I want to add a family room to the back of our home in San Jose, CA. The room will only be 14x16, with 2 windows and a small french door. I would also want a built in bookcase and a tv shelf for a flat screen.

Having an earthy, deep, red feature wall in your living room along with accessories and rugs in similar shades. Is this bad Feng Shui?

I hear red in general is a bad colour.

The renters kids had a field day in their bedroom and now I am left to paint it - tried washing the walls and nothing seems to come off. Is there a product that might cover this up so I don't have to do a darker base coat and then the lighter paint?
