I would say do something a little girly. So use the pink and purples of that fabric. Or maybe even the blue if you don't want to go all that girly. Go to like a discount furniture place if you need cheap furniture. The stuff you have is probably fine, and most furniture isn't painted, it's just the colors you use to bring out the room. Like your window curtains. And your bed comforter. You should match those with the color(s) of the wall. Also maybe an area rug that is that color too. Then just go out and buy other things like lamps to match that color, maybe if your room is big enough, a little sofa that is that color with cute small pillows. Just do it up big!!!!

If you have any awards from softball then you can hang them up on a wall on one side so that people see that you're a good softball player right when they walk in. The tacks to hang them up are really inexpensive and will only cost you pocket change compared to your total budget. As for your paint a light blue goes with just about everything; it can be used for a guy's room color and it's not too bold so that it wouldn't be for a girl. A light maroon may also work, and you may want to do some custom painting in your room so that's it's not exactly boring. Also see what your parents have in the basement for paint because my dad has a bunch of paints down there so that can save you a good amount of money. As for your curtains you probably don't want Venetcian blinds since those can look pretty bland. I like roll-down blinds myself. As for your other stuff I'm not sure what to do, just don't have the room really crowded so that it looks nice and don't have everything all over the place like me (even though I can find anything I want to in there).

You go girl!! Would love to see pix when you're done. For starters, your bedroom is for resting, but this is also your personal space and your social scene as well. Love to see you aren't afraid of color! I'd paint the walls in a light apple green from the stripe and find a border paper in a retro theme in the same colors, something like a bohemian patchwork design and put up about five ft high on the walls. I'd also use the apple green for the sheets on your bed (assuming the stripes are for the comforter and windows. The stores are full of those fun little beaded and sequined pillows, how about one in each color of the print? To make a statement, you could use the fuschia pink color to hang a mosquito net canopy above the bed, a little paisley bedside lamp and predominant color in one large wall item ( a simple floral like daisies or cosmos would work) with the frame to match your furniture color. You could use the pumpkin and fuschia in chenille beside rugs and hand some paper lanterns decorated in those colors. Just remember, it's your room...have fun with it! Good luck!
Just a note. When my neices were playing softball and soccer in school athletics, their father hung shelves made of plywood in an empty corner of the room to display their trophies and memorabilia. You may be able to adapt this in your space.

well for the wall you should use the light green; for the furniture, use that fabric for some pillows and have the comforter be the majenta. maybe a bedskirt if it isn't too childish for you and make it that the purple color
dressers and things like that, don't get ones that arepainted anything just get a nice deep rich stained dressers
I hope this helps
use the yellow and darker green for accents

Depends what stuff you like. I really want to go to Paris and i love vintage stuff. So the theme of my room is Paris. I have antique-looking furniture in my room. Its a violet-purple color. Dimmed lighting with pink and purple lanterns. I have vintage paintings of the ifle tower and places in Paris all over my room. I came up with it myself and im 12. I think you can think of some thing. Be creative.

Well, your fabric is DEFINITELY not softball-based! :O) In my opinion, it is best to go for a restful color on your walls. Since your fabric is already very busy, I think it would be balanced best by pulling a blue or even cream for your walls.

if you don't like your headboard make one with plywood and batting stapled to it and that fabric ( LOVE IT ) stapled to the batting. hang on wall above bed for headboard.
paint walls yellow - except one. make that the bright pink or green for the main wall with the bed.
use single color fabrics or paint for (bedside) table cloth and accessories.
find a fabric with 2 or 3 colors from the swatch for bedspread and use the stripes for a design on it or for a boarder for it.
3-m now has that new spray glue you can use to fabric a lampshade.
remember the 6-3-1 rule = 60% one color/pattern 30% a different color/pattern 10% ...
you have different shades of colors to work with. make sure the fabric doesn't overpower , but punches color or blends them together. not both.
i, personally, like to have darker colors closer to the ground. not having darker colors higher and lighter colors lower. (to me, that looks strange).
but, then again, i like the same kind of depth of color for each room. different colors, but the same depth. (OMG this must be part of my OCD - i must stop it- now!)
