In Kans. a basement finish runs $40-$65 a square foot. Room additions and remodeling averages $125 a sq.ft. Don't forget building permits and license. Electrical contractors will not go from the box to the pole another charge. Plumbers dot not touch the meter another charge, the damage done to your yard after the contractor are done tramping your grass to mud. Another charge. The electric bill for contractors tools...yup another charge.Beer and donuts for the contractors to keep them happy and don't half the job...and another charge.....The satisfaction of customizing YOUR home priceless. Good Luck

Depends on the room use. Garages are a lot cheaper than kitchens or bathrooms. Are there external walls that need to be built (addition), and if so, will an extra A/C system be needed? Another hot water heater? You could be talking about anything from $55 a foot to $110 depending on these factors

It depends on what kind and how extensive the remodeling is. Your best bet it to show your plans, or explain your ideas, to contractors in your area and get their estimates, in writing, spelling out the work to be done. Then you will have something concrete to work with. No pun intended.
