We are having a hardwood floor installed in our foryer since we had a flood (valve on bathtub broke) and the installing company never mentioned that they would be using a sludgehammer, and they never bother to cover anything to protect anything.

Wanting to know if anyone knows of any of the furniture providers for cell phone companies such as Sprint, Verizon, Cingular or any other provider. I'm trying to find someone that sells some of the same display cases they use that also have the ability to mount cell phones to them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I really want to buy this picture. Can anyone find a site where I could buy it? I can't seem to find one, maybe you'll have better luck. It is a picture of a woman looking out to sea, and there is a long staircase she is at the top staring out a window. It is by Charles Wysocki.

A house my boyfriend mom owns and will be giving us needs a complete overhaul. The exterior walls of the house are concrete blocks that are painted and it kind of looks like white siding, but its gross. We'd like to cover the entire house with something.

I think it would look beautiful in wood, because its in the woods. But my boyfriend claims that actual wood is too hard to maintain. Is there a faux wood veneer, like stone veneer, that we could have put on? I think it would be beautiful to do the front of the house in stone veneer and the rest of the house in wood. Or all wood possibly.

Any input or ideas are welcome.

Hello. I need to buy a saw for projects around the house (fix trim, drywall, build some racks, etc.) A contractor friend of mine suggested that I get a Skil HD77 and said they are easy to find used. How do I tell if a used saw is in good condition?
Thank you.

We are looking to paint our bedroom and found a color we really like but are wondering, will it look darker on our walls or lighter than the sample chip we picked up?

I have natural stone tiles around my fireplace and want to change the color/look without taking down the tiles. I'm hoping I can just paint them. However, if painting the tiles is not a good idea, any suggestions on how to remove the tiles without making a complete disaster of my home?

I want to build a new home (which I have never done before) and want to bring a designer in at the begining, to work with the contractor doing the building so that the designer can help me decide on things like flooring, counter tops etc. What is the best way to do this, is it possible to find someone who does both.

Hi have the choices between 2 bedrooms I want to rent.

One is a 14 x 13.5 foot room and the other is a 19 x 10 foot room.

The 19 x 10 foot room is narrower, but is quieter since it's off the main street, has a closet, and 2 windows for ventilation.

The 14 x 13.5 foot room has faces the living room so it can be noiser if someone blares the TV. It also really has one window that can open for ventilation and another larger window that looks onto an enclosed porch...so people can potentially look in....and if people are on the porch, it'll be loud.

Which one would you take?

I am going with green for my walls, wondering if anyone has a suggestion about what shade of green to chose? I have a handle board in the middle so the room could easily be split into 2 colors one on top one on the bottom.

We just painted our walls off-white. Should we paint our doors & trim pure white? Or match the same off-white? I'm afraid pure white will look like we couldn't match our whites correctly, but we're split 50/50 about what to do.

me and my partner are in the process of refurbishing a house to sell, and all the ceilings are artexed.he is now paying a fortune to get rid of it, but i love it, he says that no one will buy the house if the artex is still there, as it is old fashioned, would it stop you from buying a house? as i think hes talking a load of rubbish, sorry for rambling.
