i would take the square room
it's easier to put furniture and things in there
and also great if you want to put your TV there
you can always put a curtain/blind on the large window
but i'm very 'noise-tolerant' =)
so it depends on you

I'd take the 19x10 room with windows & a little quieter. Sounds like the better of the two rooms if you want more privacy - if you don't mind folks looking in from the porch or the noise from the living room then take the other room. I'd go for quiet & privacy!!
Good luck!!

In large part I'd have to choose what will best fit my furniture. If that isn't an issue yet then certainly go with the more quiet room.
In that space, you will certainly have the 10 ft area as a congestion issue, and depending again, on the furnishings you may have issues with configuring furnishings, but the idea of the bedroom is QUIET, when we sleep. I suggest the compromise is worth the peace.

With all the negative factors of the square room, it almost sounds as though you've made up your mind. Personally, all the additional information aside, I prefer a rectangular room. Your space is long enough you could even screen off a work area or even an exercise corner. As for me, I'd create my own cozy little nook for reading or even invest in a small tv. Add a chaise lounge, small table, good book and cup of tea...it would be heavenly!

The longer room you can split off with a Decorative Screen (pier one) That will give the effect of two rooms verse one and could come in quite handy. Something like a bedroom and work or living area.
The square room is just that a square room !

I would like a rectangular room. In general I think things fit better and that there is less open space that nothing would seem to fit in correctly.
I also like the idea that there are windows in the bigger room that do not seem to be able to be peaked into, and it is pretty big for a bedroom.

Im leaning definitley more towards the octaganal bedroom design, but if you gotta split balls between to things that are the same, hell, go with rectangular.

Go with the rectangular shape... it'll allow you more choices with placement of furniture presently and in the future.

I would go for the one with better ventilation, there is nothing worse than a stuffy bedroom.
