We are going to install a tile marble counter top in our kitchen. The tiles are 12x12. We already have the wet saw, plenty of marble tile, and know the measurements but not sure on what type of mortar to hold the tile or grout to use. We know the marble will also have to be sealed when done and could also use some suggestions for sealants. We understand the pros and cons of using marble in the kitchen but have about 116 tiles of it that were given to us and our countertop now is in great need of replacing as it is Very old laminate that is cracking off. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Remote cabin site has electricity, water will be from truck filled cistern, no septic approval. Anyone with experience "on" either system? Function, odor, user friendly, installation issues, wishes or regrets? Cabin is used for biweekly visits with two sons and one month solid during summer.

Color paint for kitchen? Counters greyish blue (speckled) laminate and the floors are greyish/white vinyl. Cabinets are golden wood. The color scheme consists of dark blue and olive green. Any suggestions? I'm between peach, rich red, pale blue, and medium/sage green. The cabinet fixtures are chrome and appliances are white. There is a lot of natural sunlight and it is a fairly big kitchen. It is off our living room which is going to be a deep brownish (with red/orange undertones).
