its not really blue blue, but like a grayishblue.. my mom picked it out and described it to me.. but, i havent seen it yet on our new house. im just worried the house will look ugly because of the carpet..

Wait until you see the room before making any judgements.
I have seen some nice blue carpets in my time and they made the room calmer and cooler.

I've seen some very nice grayish-blue carpet. It depends on your personal preference and on the rest of your decor, though.

most likely, yes. gray-blue was a sensation of the late 80's (along with mauve, remember?) and hung out through the 90's.
