Well ya know silver and blue accent each other, so I wish you would post a pic of your tree as I bet it is GEORGOUS!!!! Our tree is all white lites( cause my wife bought another artificial one with only white lights when she knows I like multi colored lites that twinkle)Bulbs-- We have red,and white , and a few blue bulbs( cobalt blue that is) and some gold and some old( from the 50's and they are multicolored)Some sparkly ornaments my aunt made from the Micheals Craft shelf( Very Pretty!!)And some ornaments my daughter and her daughter made in either school or Church( My Favorite) andsome Harley Gas Caps my daughter gave me 8 yrs ago when I got my latest bike. But my wife has way too many icecicles on the tree, and they don't do anything for me , just a gift from someone. And to top it off they are frosted, not clear, which I would like better

My tree is kinda chaotic. Lots of silver tinsel and home made decorations from my child.
All my decorations have some kind of memory for me. I like to buy a new decoration everytime I go on holidays (which can be very difficult if not around christmas). Or people bring me back special decs when they have been away. I have a fine collection. My current faves are one of Santa climbing the empire state building which my sister bought back from New York and one from Harrods which my husband presented my engagement ring in and hung it on the tree one year.
I love my tree and tonight is the night it is gong up.

I was aiming for copper, gold and brown but I have so many old ornaments that bring good memories, so I realized that the color scheme really didn't matter anymore. I saw a white tree with all red, black and silver ornaments. That was pretty cool.

The tree is a retro silver tinsel tree with blue lights.
I printed black and white photos of my family on blue cardstock and made ornaments out of them.
Added blue metallic glass ornaments.
Made a blue skirt out of satin.

MY tree has red, emerald green, gold, and some white.
White twinkle lights, gold star garlands, capis shell [ ivory color ] and brass [ gold ] star; with a bright red and green poinsettia tree skirt [ matches the stocking colors ].
Most of my ornaments are angels - of every material you can imagine!
We also have ornaments from every placewe ever traveled to. and the ones my boys got in their stockings every year [ what ever they were interested in at the time. ]
