This one is easy ! I have kids and the one thing that works best is the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It's great !
Every household should have one.
Believe it or not, My daugter spilled nail polish on my coffee table, and The Magic Eraser cleaned it all up after it had dried. It didn't even harm the finish on the table.

well first you can try this. Take some bread if you have home made type of bread or french stick even better ,take the inside the white dough and squash it in your hand and rub against the wall this act´s like a rubber it should take out the finger prints without damaging the paint work. there is a product I use for almost all my household cleaning ,It is a natural stone cleaner cream it clean´s Gold Silver Bronze, Stainless Steel, get´s rid of limescale cleans the bathroom´s to a sparkle, without scratching .it clean´s almost all metal´s , all most all surface´s . It even clean´s windows. you might find something similar in one of your big store´s or even your local hardware shop. the one I use Is called Perlglanz Putzetien. you can buy this on line . www.promonov.com

You can try to wipe gently with a damp cloth, but your best bet is to paint over. Cut a small piece from an inconspicuous place (like under a sink and bring it to Home Depot for color matching, then buy some paint.
If the fingerprints are greasy or you have ink anywhere, you'll need to first brush some Killz (primer) on it.

fran and 6kids are right. there is no such thing as a scrubbable paint, gloss or otherwise. Any finish paint you will be able to tell by finish disruption where they have been cleaned. The best thing to do is repaint w/ a highly WASHABLE paint. but in the meantime, magic erasers are amazing. the bread trick works better on wallpaper than it does on paint.

Mr. Clean has these special pads out now that are wonderful. You simply dampen them with water and they will even take crayon marks off walls. I can't remember the exact name but they are in the cleaning section of most grocery stores. They are put out by Mr. Clean. They almost melt as you use them. They are even good for cleaning the bottom of tubs that have the no slip finish. I researched and these are called ''Magic Erasers"".

Unless the paint is less than 3 months old, you're gonna see where you cleaned it off... Magic erasers work and so does a cloth with a touch of comet on it but for sure you're gonna see the clean spot.

the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work really well on any surface. I use them on everything. Will take of almost anything. Pencil marks, crayon, fingerprints should be easy. Just get one end damp and lightly scrub. Best of all they only cost about $1.89

Try using just plain soap and water. I get finger prints on my wall all the time, and that's how it remove them.
