I have a saturated cinammon colour in mine... looks awesome with the white cupboards, trim and appliances... I'd send you a pick but I can't on Yahoo answers.

Go for it! We love the colour and the richness contrasting with the white.

My kitchen is not painted red, but we have red countertops. They were here when we bought the house, so I didn't pick them out. I thought I'd hate them, but now I think I'll keep them when we remodel the kitchen. I've gotten many compliments on them and really like them.
Perhaps you could go with a more subtle red statement like a red backsplash w/ a cool red kitchen table and red accessories rather than an entire red kitchen.
I love all of the red accessories that are out now and I can pick and choose which ones I want!

Best wishes!

think twicw about this color. We painted our kitchen Behr "Sly Fox" which is a bold deep red. after a month or so it just became too much of a good thing. It looked fantastic in the french bistro which is what inspired us, but it just didnt translate well to our kitchen. we spend a lot of time in the kitchen preparing meals and the color became oppressive especially at night. We just repainted a few weeks ago and its much more relaxing and bright now. painted the kitchen a sand color which looks great with our black countertops and dark brown cabinets and hardwood floors.

I agree - red is heavy color for a kitchen.... we have our dining red
and that room is too much

Be Blessed!

Helpful Hint: to paint dark colors, you generally need to prime with a bonding primer to get it to cover properly. When the bulders painted our dining room, it took three trips to cover the parts that bled through.
