We are looking at a home in TN, We live in NV, All I have to work with is a picture. In the picture, the space for the fridge is 2 1/2 inchs (I really love my fridge) Anyways my fridge is 2 feet wide. Is there a way to figure out if it would fit, by converting inches to feet or feet to inches?

I need to buy two new sofas, a chair and one large ottoman for my great room. It is a large room with high ceilings, so space is not an issue. I think I want the sofa styles to match, but should I also match the fabric? The only other upholstery I have in the room (at the moment) is a glass table w/four chairs. I typically like clean lines of a contemporary style.

I don't know what color to choose. Help!!!
Here is the bathroom details the floor is white tile and some turqoise tiles, with dark grout. the counter is white tile, lite grout. natural wood cabinets. the mirror has a frame that is a natural wood color. white toilet, normal tub, white and turqoise tiles, and a small window with a white frame. and quite a bit of lite gets in.

I hope that should be enough details to give your opinion of an ideal color for the walls and base boards. Thanks in advance answerers!!!!!!

hi we are buying a new house....it was built in 2005 so it is very new. The walls and trim are white with pewter/silver cabinet pulls and a slate gray fire place mantle. The cabinets are are a medium oak color. The carpet throughout is a light sage green color. What colors compliment the white and sage green? Right now i sort of decorate in country....like navy burgandy and forrest green (this is what my couches are) These in my opinion would look awful in this newer looking home with all the clean lines. I also own quite a bit of items with wrought iron which i think would look nice. BUT i need a sort of color palate that would compliment this carpet color with all the white on the walls. Like a tan couch? White or wood coffee table? HELP! need opinions!

Im looking to redecorate. I see people on tv doing these crazy things to their room and they look great. (I love creativity) is there a site I can go do that'll give me creative ideas, and a how-to guide? or books I can get, etc etc.. Anything that has creative ideas.

I've heard about sights where you can take a picture of the room you want to paint, then select a color and see how it would look? Does anyone know of a free sight that does this? Thanks

I want to acid-stain my concrete floor. My house is built into a hill, so I have a lower level that steps up several feet to a platform from where a staircase leads upstairs. The room that I want to acid-stain is off of the platform. Originally this room was a basement, so the wall is about 4 inches from the end of the concrete floor. The original re modelers filled in the gap with a 2*4. That was fine under carpet, but proves to be a problem now that I want to beautify my concrete. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The thing is, its a townhome so the kitchen is basically combined with the living room, its just seperated by an island.

Any suggestions?

I had to pull up the carpet because we have an old dog with kidney issues (that's a whole other question!!), Anyway--our house is on a concrete slab and so my dining room floor is now a garage floor. What can I do to at least make it fairly presentable until I can really finish it (i.e. tile, wood, ceramic). I've thought about painting it--just so it's not obviously concrete--so how do I do it and what prep work needs to be done?? I know people are thinking this and "No--putting the dog down is NOT an option!"

I purchased Tony Little's microbead bed pillows. (from HSN)They're very comfortable. But I recently discovered an unusual property in them .I found that when the room was pitch dark and I manipulated the pillow I saw a few glow like sparks in the pillow.Sort of a green color.I didn't believe what I was seeing. I did it over and over to make sure I was seeing correctly. Does anyone know what this could be? Has anyone purchased these pillows?I haven't been able to get a response from HSN and can't find a contact number for Homedics, the manuafacturer.I'm only concerned about the health and safety issue with them.

I LOVE blue, I would want everything to be blue. It is a smaller bedroom, so not too much room. I have already bought all new furniture, bed, desk, dresser, etc. and they are all beach colored (like a yellow-white color, like sand). I have also painted the walls blue. But I want the room to look very modern and cool, but can't get any farther than the painting and furniture. Any suggestions on sheets, quilts, pillows, accessories, lighting, pictures, etc.? One of the walls is a mirror (the whole wall), it slides open to reveal a closet, anything you can do with that?
