I need to organize my room. Most of my stuff should go by my desk, but there isnt enough room near my desk so I have to put a lot of it in my walk-in closet across the room. Any suggestions on what to put where? thanks :)

does your desk have a storage hutch? if it doesn't, consider getting one. get one that has more than just one shelf. you could even make your own overhead cabinets and shelves either attached to the wall or standing on the desk. In our computer room/study I hung a section of used kitchen cupboards along one wall above the 2 desks. I removed the doors from 2 of them and left the doors on 3, so we have both open and hidden storage. we have no closet in the room so the only option was cabinets, and it works great, we have a LOT of things stored in those cabinets.

Containers, containers, containers. There are all kinds you can get for filing and organizing. I'm organizing a home office and am facing the same issue. I use Rubbermaid or store brand plastic see-through storage boxes. You can get some that work as filing cabinets on wheels. If you don't have floor space, you can purchase inexpensive shelving units at Wal-Mart if you want to go vertical.
