out? I am putting basboards in and the line where they meet is pretty obvious. Do I just use wood glue or is there something better? thanks

You can use putty, glue or caulk. Depends on your finish. If you're going to paint, I recommend caulk. Its easy, cleans up with water and you can work it while its wet (use a wet finger). If you're staining, putty is the way to go. It will accept the stain. Glue wont.

You need a miter saw to cut baseboards so you can get the angles right where they join,and they need to be nailed not glued.If you're using 1 by 4 or 1 by 6 for baseboards you can just make a straight cut on the ends and you want have to use a miter saw.You can use any saw you can make a straight cut with...

Cut the joints at 45 degree angels and they will look uncut. But you can cover joints with wood putty
