Susan G is right, use Goo-gone, it's great and is about the only product I've found to completely remove anything with glue.

Use denatured alcohol, or rubbing alcohol. Dont scrub too hard or the paint might start to come off.

depends on what its stuck to-if metal ,tile, hard surfaces use WD-40 on a paper towel should loosen it up-Be careful-don't use wd-40 on wall or anything-try it on a small area first!!
