fracture. So basically it is the top of my foot. It has been a week and I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday. It is swollen on top still. Does anyone have any idea about what kind of cast I would get or if I would get one. I was maybe thinking about inquiring about a walking cast since the fracture is on top. And does anyone have any idea about how long it is going to take or this to heal? thanks

OK so i was walking my dog and she just started to take off and i fell on top of her and managed to do something to my bad foot, the one i bruised severley a few weeks ago. My parents are out at my little brothers hockey game and its swelling, doesnt look good. i`m guessing its broken, because of past problems. Any suggestions until the rents get home?

I've had a surgery recently where the general anesthesia was used. What makes me worried is that a week has passed already (since the surgery) and I am experiencing some memory problems that I have never had before. It's getting really annoying. Does anybody know if general anesthesia has any impact on memory?

The skin on my hands has become very thin. Whenever I bump against something I tear the skin. I am not talking about wrenching on an engine and getting a knuckle buster, It happens when I am just doing every day things. Like taking something out of the fridge and the top of my hand hits the bottom of the shelf. Most people it would just scratch the skin, The top layer will just come right off.
Sure, It heals in a week or so but then there is a scar and I do it again. Right now I have 17 open wounds on my hands. It dosent seem to be happening anywhere else but then again the rest of my body is protected by clothes.
I am now 46 years old, I could understand this if I was 70.
Can anyone recommend....anything?

More than 3 months ago I broke my right wrist and severely sprained my left wrist in an accident. Now my right wrist appears to be 95% healed where as my left does not seem to be getting better. In fact, if I isolate the left wrist for a few days it becomes stiff and more painful than if I were to keep it in use. I can not apply any force on the wrist joint except for pulling movements. What does anyone out there think is the prob? Should I keep stretching and working it? I realize I need to seek therapy but I'm deployed in the military and won't be able get help for the wrist for another 2 months. Will that be to late for therapy to be any good to me? Any help or insight will be very appreciated.

About 6 or 7 months ago I hurt my knee playing basket ball and ever since it has made a crunching sound when I bend it. It does not hurt unless I keep it bent for more than 10 min and sometimes it hurts whilst walking. After going to my doctor and going to hospital it still made the sond and I still have no idea why. I have done alot of research on the internet and found out that it might be "Crepitus" or "osteoarthritis". Has any one else had the same problem? and should I be worried that I may have osteoarthritis when im only 16 ?

I am in a non weight bearing R leg cast. I can't even drive. I have a 3, 4, and 7 year old to take care of! I need to find out what sort of gadgets are out there to help me ie; how to get a drink from the counter to the table, how I get anything from point A to point B. How to pic something up off the floor....the very SIMPLEST of tasks. There must be things out there to aid handicapped ppl with daily things. I just got the cast on yesterday and I'm allready overwhelmed and I've only been awake for 2 hours. I had to empty the dishwasher and it took forever etc. Please help me with your knowledge or experience or maybe suggest websites that can. HUGE THANKYOUS!!

I got bored and started playing with matches. It was all fun until I burned my thumb. The burned part is my fingertip, and it is now white. The natural pinkness is gone. It feels hard kind of like calloused. I can't feel it. I tried poking at it with a pencil and had to push really hard just to feel. I think I burned the nerves out. Please tell me I'll get the feeling back! I hope it heals.

I fell down one step and broke my left ankle and sprained the right 2 nights ago but both of my ankles hurt a lot; actually I thought my right ankle was broken because that hurt more than the left. The doctor said sometimes a sprain can hurt just as much and can take longer to heal but I didn't think at the time to ask why. Does anyone know why?

my vision went blurry and my eyes watered for several minutes. Now, 30 hours later, my nose feels like its gonna blow up and my head is fuzzy, almost like tired....what's going on? Should I go to the doctor in the morning? There is no swelling or bruising, but it hurts bad to touch it.

Yesterday I accidently slashed the tip of my left index finger with a stanley knife. The cut is right accross the 'pad' of the fingertip, going from just above the crease in the skin, to just under the nail. It has stopped bleeding and has more or less stopped hurting.

Now my index finger is constantly twitching, sometimes qutie violently. The tip of my finger sometimes twitches two inches!

whats wrong?!
