Babies bones are softer than adults and do heal well.
It is best to have the baby checked to be sure the bone is not poking into something. If the bone is in good position than it is not serious.
The Dr do not even bandage the shoulders any more for a broken collar bone. Just be careful that the arm is not twisted and the bone put into a bad position.

Ive fractured my collar bone two times, once playing football and once snowboarding. the 2d time i did not have a lot decision of action like you, and this is because your muscular tissues and ligaments atrophy (weaken and become worse) at the same time as your arm is in the sling. notwithstanding this may all be delivered decrease back by ability of rehab and stretching workouts. i'm truly one hundred% on my fracture area after about 3 months of rehab. there'll continually be some sizeable weak spot yet no longer something significant in case you're taking the needed measures to help it get better.

It depends on how it happened. Babies do heal quite well (If medically examined) but knowing how it happened it also very important...most infants don't brake bones that easily.

Not that serious. When I was born, I came out and my collarbone snapped. It healed up just fine and I am now 30 years old with no problems.
