one month ago I still only had 30% radiographical union however I could walk fine but underwent an exchange nailing with a bone graft. After having had this op my surgeon has limited the amount of weight I am allowed to put on this leg,but has added that this may not be the correct way to go as this is not an exact science,I underwent an earlier op 3 months ago to remove the lower horizontal screw in the first nail, after this op the surgeon said throw away your crutches and let pain be the guide of what you can and cannot do, can anyone comment or advise on these two very different opinons regarding the weight loading I can apply to my leg, do I limit the load as one doctor suggests or do I allow pain to determine how much Load I should apply?

I recently (about 2 weeks ago) pierced my ears and I have studs in. The one ear healed fairly quick, provided that I was using the liquid the farmacy recomended. The other ear, however is swollen for some time now, and looks a bit like a doughnut.. ha ha! Please tell me if you have a solution or a remedy or an answer saying it's normal. Thank you!

Yesterday I cut my hand (between the thumb and index finger) and it is itchy.
I have a huge bandage on my hand.
I have to the gp on friday.
I have a question to any Dr.'s or Med Students.
I have to go to the GP in 2-3 days after and in 3 weeks again. I am a bit confused, because I was out of it at the time.
I got the stiches at the hospital and they rushed me out right after, so I was unsure of what they said. DO I remove the stiches in 3 days or just the bandages? Is it ok that it's itchy less than 24 hrs after. I've kept it dry.

I am unable to use right hand and I am right handed. My Occupational Therapist told me to keep arm in splint and don't use. I have an advanced case of tennis elbow. They are doing OT first then most likely surgery, as a nurse I need my R hand to do dressings and Med's and charting. I don't know what to do..Please if any one has any suggestions I will really appreciate it. Thank You. This injury is not from working.

Hello,

Today I slammed the back of my head into a large pipe at close range and at a quick and rapid speed by accident. So I don't sound completely mental, I had flipped my hair over my face and was going to flip it back, and I didn't know I was standing in front of the pipe. The moment that I hit it, I remember closing my eyes and feeling a bit dizzy, but I was back to normal and laughing about my clumsiness in less than a second. I thought I had split my head open, but what I have now is just a large lump. It hurts a lot, which is expected, but I just want to know if this could have caused a mild concussion. I have felt fine besides the pain on my head, and I do have a mild headache, which is normal, but I wanted to get someone else's input on this: preferably someone who knows more about concussions than I do.

Thank you so much!

I sprained my left foot & ankle early this summer, and my school/work schedule has severely slowed the healing process since i'm on my feet most of the day. I just need to know, if I ride my stationary bike at a moderate pace a few times a week, will I cause further injury?

Hi! I sprained my ankle and I five days ago and I couldn't walk on it! I was told I only had a lot of swollen tissue and that they didn't think I tore anything at all! I have school and wearing crutches is really draining. I don't feel any pain anymore from when I do walk on it, but I feel that if I went a whole day at school without crutches that I could reinjure it again! Am I ok or should I just wear the crutches to be safe and then gain it back slowly?

Ok, so on the top of my arm (the humerous part, where the bicept is) I had a small black/bluish bruise that slightly hurt. I don't know where it came from, but I thought, it's so small, random bruises happen, et cetera. Now, over night it grew! and I mean grew to covering the large portion of my arm (about the size of a tennis ball) and it was mostly red in color with a little blue at the end. Now today, (only painful when I press it) it seems to have developed very small spots which are dark blue, they resemble goosebumps or hair follicles but the surface is smooth and not bumpy. I know, I know I should see a doctor, but at first I would like to check and see if any of you have any good insight on what this is/what's causing it.

I was messing around shooting staples. I held it too high one time and stapled my pointer finger. Only one side of the staple went in, so I was able to pull it out. It hurts pretty bad for a little cut, and its blue around where it is. I don' think its a big deal, but my mom is acting like its gonna kill me. Should I worry?
