A friend had pushed me and I fell straight back and smacked my head on a concrete floor. I blacked out for 4 minutes. When I woke up my friends carried me into the house and I slept for 3 or 4 hours. When I woke up, I had a bump the size of a tennis ball on the back of my head. Is it possible that I had a concussion? I did not seek medical treatment because I had been drinking and was underage at the time. Is it possible that I could have any kind of permanent damage from this?

I had / have runner's knee for a while (about a month) and I recieved orthotics and now it doesn't hurt. I thought it had gone away but when I tried to kneel I notived that the knee cap is still raised and that I wan't able to position it correctly. Is this a sign that it is heeling? Or that my body just adjusted to the pain?

I was mopping the kitchen floor and fell on my butt, I was 17 years old at the time. I noticed a couple of months later that i had some round small bumps on my back by the hipline just above the butt. I don't know what they are and they don't hurt but i still have them. You can't see them but they are there when you touch them i can feel them. And my back started to hurt after i fell. when i lie flat on my carpet my hip hurts so much that I have fainted because of the pain and could not walk for a whole day. that has happened to me two times in the past nine years. I have not gone to the Doctor because I don't want to get operated and have to stay at the hospital for a long time I have kids at home and they are small. I think I might of torn that bone tissue that helps the bone move that is between the bones. HAS THIS HAPPENED TO YOU? AND WHAT DID YOU DO OR WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU? DID YOU ALSO GET THOSE BUMPS I WAS TALKING ABOUT THAT I GOT? PLEASE HELP ONLY ANSWER IF YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS.

This morning when I was in class I stood up to turn in my test, when I started walking both of my legs felt like they were dead or numb and all of a sudden I twisted my ankle and it really hurt. It started hurting more as the day went by. Could it be sprained? Do you have any suggestions to make it feel better? Thanks.

Playing football I was hit hard in the ribs and I am wondering if there is a possibilty any of them are cracked Heres a description:

1. It hurts when I take a deep breath
2. there is a slight pain constantly that never goes away
3. a small spot whenever i touch it there isreally bad pain
4. when i stretch that side of my body it hurts

thanks in advance, I would love to know if they might be cracked so i can decide weather or not to get x-rays, and so i will know how many games i will be out for, because my team is going to playoffs, so if i can just fix it with pain killers, that would be great

I broke my ankle on october 11th and was put in a cast on october 16th. The doctor didn't say how to prop it up or anything but when i go to sleep i usualy lay on my sides. I had been fixing my leg so it can lay on its sides too but without moving my ankle or anything. But i dunno if i shouldn't lay it down on its side and wondering if im putting to much pressure on it. I am trying to make sure my ankle heals as fast as it can because i just don't want to be in a cast anymore. So i was wondering should i not be laying it on its side.. or should i have it proped up on my heal and on a pillow and just deal with laying on my back. Oh and by the way when i lay my leg down on the sides of it i put a pillow under it too. This is so hard to explain. Im just tired of being in this darn cast and not being able to do anything myself.

On Oct. 13 I was bit by a Brown Recluse spider. When I began getting red streaks going down my arm 3 days later I went to the doctor. The doctor agreed that it probably was a Brown Recluse based on symptoms (others besides those listed here), appearance of the wound and the fact I've killed several around my house recently.

I didn't nor do I now have the dying tissue symptom. He gave me anti-biotics and told me it would take some time to heal. This was not my regular doctor but his associate. My concern is the lingering lightheadness, foggy thinking, nausea, and vision problems. Plus I still feel weak and generally not well. The venom at the site is no longer a large tender lump under the skin but seems to have dispersed. Where has the venom gone?

My family thinks I need to go back to the doctor though I don't think he can do much. I think all this will eventually pass and that it takes time to recover from the venom in my body. Should I be concerned or wait it out?

I was in a motor vehicle accident in my home state of Connecticut over the summer. (I was hit from behind, so it was not my fault). Shortly after, I left for Upstate New York for grad school. I'm still having neck and shoulder problems, so my doctor advised me to see an orthopedist. I have been calling several and everyone is refusing to treat me because it's an out of state matter! What we have been doing back in CT was providing my medical insurance at my doctors visits...now we have collected most of the bills and are getting ready to submit them to the woman at fault's auto insurance. Her insurance told us that this would be the quickest way to get these matters taken care of. But no one in New York State will take my medical insurance because the injuries are related to a motor vehicle accident. They also said that they cannot accept the woman at fault's insurance information because it is out of state. Does this seem right? Is there any way I can get treatment up here?
