Okay, I dont need any "smart" answers.

I live in a rural area, going to the doctor with three kids in tow is a lot of work. I just would like some advice.

Last night I punctured my knee with a toothpick - it was imbedded in the couch and my knee went straight down onto it. It is only a small hole, there was very little blood. At first, the whole knee and down to my ankle hurt, then it seemed to get better. When I woke up, it was on fire. I have had to limp around all day. No redness, no swelling, you can't even see that anything happened, but my whole knee hurts. Every once in a while it gives out and I have to catch myself. If I call the doctor, they will automatically say to come in, but I am hoping it will just get better on its own.

Any ideas as to whether or not this will resolve itself? :)

I've recently begun running again (use to be quite active, but been sitting around the last few years) and get a pain below my knee at the top of my tibia. This pain isn't there when I run, swim or play sport. Its there when I bend the knees at night (evening). A friend of mine said it might be "jumpers knee"? Anybody know anything about it, How to cure it?

Why they make them the same shape as eye drop bottles I'll never know (this happened to another older personI know). Anyway, if it's a chemical burn on the eye, can that layer of damaged eye regenerate? It's cloudy right now and she says she can't see out of it, but that was yesterday.

the other day my back was hurting, i had slept in a bad position, i bent down to get a better move for my back and i realized that i could easily touch my toes. im 24 now, i havent gone to the gym in such a long time and what shocked me was that i remember when i was young, i could barely do it and i was in much better shape back then than now, my question is...

why on earth can i easily touch my toes, espcially having a bad back that instant than not being able to in the past?

Hi people. I fell asleep on the couch with one ankle up on the arm of the sofa, bending my right knee slightly backwards. I think I slept about three hours this way. Ever since, for about three weeks, my knee has been very sore and prone to collapsing.

I had knee probs as a kid, and am using a tensor bandage like the dr told me to back then - UNDER the knee, not over the kneecap, but it's still really sore. Any advice? I live in an area where a visit to the Dr entails a two hour drive plus about three hours waiting time, so I'd rather avoid that if I can. Thanks!

I've been training quite hard recently for a big event thati s taking place in just over two weeks time.

The problem is I've picked up a muscle strain in my thigh (quad).

It's not a huge injury but its stopping me from doing my usual sprint training and I don't want to go running because I want to give my leg some time to heal.

Does any have any advice on the best way to sort my leg out before my event? And what is the best way to maintain my cardio fitness with an injured thigh? My initial thought was swimming.
