my finger is still movable

go see the doctor. You might of broke it. Their isn't much they can do for a broken finger but it's better to be safe than sorry

Six days is a long time for it to be swollen and sore. I would see a Dr if you can. Othewise apply ice and tape it to the next finger, or get a finger brace at the drugstore (it's a long piece of flexible metal that you bend over your finger, and secure with adhesive tape.) This will stop you from bending it and maybe doing further damage.

You have my sympathy - vacuuming is bad enough without getting injured!

I would go to my docs to get it checked out really, they may need to bind your finger and the finger/s next to the poorly one to aid it's recovery, you may have even broke it hun

You may have just jammed it...ouch, but if you can move it, it PROBABLY isn't broken. I hope you used ice therapy on it at first, and now warmth is is order.
