i recently fell outside of work (about two weeks ago)... my face slammed onto the ground. I ended up having to wear my retainer again after a long period of time going without. (i'm 20). everything on my face hit (forehead, nose, lip, teeth, chin)... I recently started feeling jaw pain (on the left side only.. just slight soreness)... it will go away for a few days and then come back. could this be associated with the above? it seems like is should have gone away by now. only hurts when i open... kind of feels like swelling (can feel it kind of in my ear as well).

I injured my wrist about a year ago. I was banging on walls with my hand and my wrist feels horrible now when I try lifting. Could I have prevented this by using a plaster after my injury?

My friend who had an operation to put in a rod to help heal a bone fracture in lower leg --- fibula and tibia --- is supposed to have been given a general anaesthesia mixed in food, as I heard from someone. I need to know what kind of general anaesthesia would this be? He said the doctor kept slapping him to wake him up saying the surgery is over.

Is this anaesthesia enough to put in a rod or would he also have received local anaesthesia? below his waist for the entire lower body or only down the knee on which the operation was held?

Where is the anaesthesia for below the waist given?

With general anaes. would he be reuired to receive catheterisation for unrination? with anaesthesia below the waist?

I will lock my car before going to the house but while in the house watching TV something will tell me that I did not lock the car and I am sure that I locked the car but to verify I find myself opening the door and going to the garage to check if indeed I locked, Or sometimes to go and check if I really pulled the hand break. Am I very carefull or just sick?

I hurt my shoulder drawing back my bow on a deer on October 1st 2006. The bow wasnt too heavy, i was just overly nervous and my muscles sorta locked up. I have pain all the time for a couple weeks, then it was only when i did certain things. The worst pain i experience is when i play softball. I have extreame pain when i go to throw a ball. It also hurts when going to put on a jacket or go to put on a seatbelt. The pain usually only is around when i do certain things, the most extreame when throwing. It has been over 6 mths and the pain is the same. Does anyone know what could be wrong.

My left ear has been hurting the last two days, and I'm scared I may have damaged it.
I have had this pain before, but it has never lasted so long before. I knew it was from overuse of my IPOD and so I would take frequent breaks from using it. A few days ago I listened to a few songs and then the pain started. Do you think my ear can still recover, or have I damaged it? What's your experience? Please help!

got hurt on the job in aug.2004, in Texas, at a huge corporation. Now I am still hurting, was fired in feb.2005 for not being able to return back to work, and the insurance company is and has been denying all claims for medical therapy and medications--no income, no relief, and my career is over!! i have undergone 5 different surgeries on lower back since incident, and am better, but by no means the energetic and productive young woman I was almost 3 years ago! I am only 28 years old, and I am so scared to do anything that I am feeling afraid of the whole world outside my apartment, even!! I was employee of the Year for the state of Texas(only 2 chosen!! out of over 700,000 employees in this state alone!)and was an established and successful Manager of Sales and retail Store and responsible for all the employees in the store as well as the work itself--which they have ripped from me-I truelly love me-but, I cannot find her...I feel like I have been erased from everything that mattered

Okay, when I do sports like soccer or basketball my calf muscles seem to just tense up to an extreme and takes about a minute to get them relaxed again. The muscles just like contract as much as they can and leaves me unable to move my ankle up and down. Sometimes it really hurts when this happens.

It normally happens in basketball when im doing a shot, I bend my knees and then it just happens. Same as in soccer, when im trying to get by a guy and do a fake quickly one way they tense up.

Does anyone know what this is? Is it actually just a muscle spasm?

I had two of them last summer. I am 29 yrs old and am considerably thin. It was the worst pain I ever felt in my life, and they cam out of no where, one after another!! I had to have 2 surgeries one after another. Now, everyonce in a while, I feel that familiar pain on my side although its not as strong by any means, but it scares me!! Can I get one again so suddenly or is it just mild pain from the surgeries ?? Anyone can relate??

before I did this today, I just got done recovering from a broken wrist. Same wrist same place same everything. I was messing around w/ my friend today, and my friend like accidently kicked me and my wrist bent downward and it just hurt. the pain isnt great until i try to bend it all the way back. I can bend it half way, but when i shake my hand is when i FEEL LIKE I WANNA SLAP A *****. It hurts really bad when i like flip my wrist around. It's swelling some, it makes a popping noise whenever i bend it. And when i bend it backwards, it feels like it is just stuck. And the worst part is my mom is calling me apussy and doesnt believe me. So do you think this could be a fracture?

It has been slippery here in CO this winter. While she was coming out of the mailroom, she slipped and severely broke her leg, requiring major surgery. She has always been socially embarrassed, almost to a pathological degree. While we were at a restaurant, her menu didn't have laminate, and she was dreadfully embarrassed, because the rest of us did. And I noticed a long time ago that she often laughs at people who fall, or stumble. I've heard of people breaking their legs falling down stairs, but never in a straight fall, just walking, and then slipping to the ground. I think she felt herself slipping, and did some crazy maneuvers, anything to avoid the inevitable, and she overcorrected her balance, resulting in a twisted ankle and a hairline fracture in both bones of her left leg.
