Depends on the fracture. If it is just a one bone fracture of the tibia, our office does a cast for 2 to 3 weeks then brings the patient back for xrays out of cast. Sometimes we move to a fracture boot at that point, sometimes we recast. Everything depends on the fracture itself, direction, severity,location on the bone, and on your healing
