well dear, you can expect hard recovery! It's not going to be painless, but you have to understand that the pain is a good thing! It means your getting stronger! My best advice is not to worry! These doctors do it all the time! They know just what there doing! you will be fine! Other than surg, you will have to be patient.. Its going to hurt when you start PT, but DON'T Give up, you will get better... it will hurt but you get pain pills! You can do it!!!! Good luck

expect to wake up in very much pain. i never had any kind of bone surgery before, but i heard from many others the pain is really bad. don't worry the nurses will be as accomodating to u as possible. u will get lots of ginger ale and apple juice and u will sleep for the rest of tonight. expect to be out of school for about 1 week. good luck today and don't eat anything.

You're smarter than I was. I chose green and boy, did I get sick of it. You'll have no pain during surgery. There will be some pain afterwards but you'll be given something to relieve it. There will be a recovery period and you'll be anxious to get going again but be patient and get a pile of good books to read. Be easy and grateful with the people taking care of you.

I don't know sweetie because I have never torn my ACL, but I will be praying for you! I hope the surgery goes well and that you get to go back to school soon!

P.S. Nice choice with the blue! :)
