the other day my back was hurting, i had slept in a bad position, i bent down to get a better move for my back and i realized that i could easily touch my toes. im 24 now, i havent gone to the gym in such a long time and what shocked me was that i remember when i was young, i could barely do it and i was in much better shape back then than now, my question is...

why on earth can i easily touch my toes, espcially having a bad back that instant than not being able to in the past?

i work in e residential home and suprisingly alot of our clients aged 70 and older can touch thir toes!

If you have a bad back you should be attempting to touch your toes all of the time. That is one of the causes of back pain, tight hamstrings. As for why you can do it now and not then, there are just too many variables to truly answer that question. If you were working out all of the time, you might have been too tight. Maybe now your muscles were relaxed and you could do it easily, either way it is something you should do often. Flexibility is an important aspect of fitness and the one that is most overlooked.

I think that you should do at least 15 minutes of exercise in order to keep your back from hurting. At that time, go down to touch your toes as far as you can, and eventually you will be doing it as your muscles do stretch out.

It's a matter of stretching, becoming limber as well as strong. You probably had to do a few stretches to loosen your back up in the first place.

Nope, i'd not attempt it regardless of if i might want to tell old people's age that way. i don't love wrinkly stuff, besides, do they make lower than wears to bypass around the knees? i'm particular that's the position old adult men's balls is superb besides. Hah! hah!

Of course, it's strange you're able to without any prior exercise... but you're lucky ;) If anything it should inspire you to take up yoga or Pilates to see how flexible you can get! I love both workouts, they're great for you..

it's really strange but may be your back is better now you have to be happy you have now a good back with out harms you are very lucky i have harms in my back too i wish i am like u (lucky)
