Yeahhh... I am . I have been praying to God. I made sure to schedule the surgery mid week and not on Monday or Friday. Good luck!

It's quiet normal to feel scared before surgery. In most cases, people are most afraid of feeling pain or of having an adverse reaction to the anesthia. I had my gallbladder removed and I was terrified. Before having surgery, I spoke with my doctor and mentioned the fact that I was terrified and I did not want to have ANY pain. He took this into consideration and made sure to prescribe enough medication to keep my pain under control.
I also had an emergency c-section. I was terrified. The nurse anesthetist assigned to my case was excellent. She knew I was terrified so she made me "more comfortable" before the procedure.
My advice is to speak with your doctor about any concerns you may have. If the doctor doesn't answer your questions or put you more at ease, you could seek a second opinion.
Hang in there!

I had to have half of my thyroid removed a few weeks ago, and had to stay overnight after the surgery. I absolutely dreaded every moment leading up to when the anesthesiologist gave me the shot of Versed. The next thing I knew I woke in recovery. The first week was hell, but now I'm almost back to normal. You'll be fine. Ask to get the shot of Versed asap!

i recently had tubal ligation, lower lubar fusion to my back ,and a hysterectomy.....Scared to death every time, its normal, it won't be as bad as you think it will, they give you drugs for that...lol and if you tell them you are nervous when you go in, they will give you something before the surgery to calm you down, you will be alright....
