No.. Not in the freezer, it will cause damage to the tissue. You should place it in a ziploc type bag and then on some ice. Preferably in a cooler.

Absolutley not. Putting a finger in a freezer would cause severe tissue damage, such as frostbite. It would be useless to reattach it later on. You should wrap the digit in a sterlie dressing, (like sterile gauze) keep it dry and cool, not freezing, and get medical help ASAP. The quicker you reattach it, the better your odds of having good functions again.

But no, do not put a severed digit in the freezer. Put it in a ziplock or other waterproof container, and put it on ice. It should be cold, but not frozen or wet.

If a major finger and not a pinky the surgeons might try to reattach it. Keep cold but not frozen.
