i bit a vein under my tongue and now i feel a pain in my throat that won't go away.

unfortunatly yes it is normal, most of the nerves in your mouth, also go down your throat...often times if your having pain or discomfort in your mouth, your throat hurts too, and sometimes visa versa, take some advil, and rinse with some salt water, and if you don't feel relief in a few days, give a doctor a call.

Usually with something like that it is fine. What happens is you more then likely hit a nerve (don't panic) but a lot of the times when you hit a nerve the pain from it will 'shoot' over an area, in your case it shot down to your throat. In a few days it should be feeling better.

Its not "normal" but if the pain is still there on Monday, go see the doctor!
