I have a neighboor who is like a younger sister! I love her sooo much!

She thinks she is fat!

I'm always like "You are so pretty u are not fat!"

So we went to the bathroom and she weighed herself.

She is just turned 12 like... a month ago or somewhere around there.

So she just turned 12 and she is 116 lbs.
She said her weight bounces around. Sometimes its 118 and sometimes 115.

Is that fat?
What is the average?

All the media screams out is: Your fat! Lose weight! And when I read all these blogs from teen girls saying they weigh 140 and still think they are fat it makes me want to cry! According to health reports, "America IS obese". But is that really the thing to be saying when we have sixteen year olds starving them selfs to look "hott" like the anorexic cocaine using celebs? Is America fat because we are depressed? Or are we just lazy? How bout these anorexic women who are 25 and weigh 105 pounds- is that really obese?

I work out every other day. I do some sort of excercise, jogging, hitting the bag , light wieght lifting etc. On saturdays I do my heavier workouts (lots of running). but I still can't improve my stamina. When I play a pick up game of basketball I am breathing hard just after a few minutes. My lungs hurt and I feel light headed. I am not fat.I do not have the worst diet either, I try to eat at subway atleast three times per week. am I just genetically made with poor stamina.I feel that other people with less active lifestyle have better stamina.

I haven't had a real 'exhilirant' workout since November, and I want to start exerxcising again. Unfortunately, the weather has taken a dip, so it's too cold to go for runs through snow and I don't belong to a gym or have a home workout station. My question is, is anyone have any tips or ideas that will help me stay/get back into shape?

...with a half-cup of steamed white rice to give it some texture. I avoid the grease-fried crackers they give you to mix in with it.

It doesn't seem like it would have a lot of bad ingredients, but I don't know. Do you know?

I weightlift, swim and do track, and am also planning to join the football team next year.. Any help? I don't want to take any like protien shakes, cause I heard they taste awfull.
I read somewhere that if I eat 500 calories more a day, I will gain atleast 1 pound per week, is this true?

I changed my lifstyle but still have a puffy face from beer I suppose. I'm not obese otherwise. I exercise now but I still look like a bar fly. What's a good diet that will reduce my BMI overall?

Will burning off calories on treadmill help me to reduce waist as well (apart from reducing weight)?

I'm a 25 yrs guy (overweight), weighs around 174lbs . Waist is my prime concern (it's 38 inch :( ). I've recently bought a treadmill and started an exercise schedule. I take care to not take more than 1500 caloried / day and burn around 500 calories on treadmill. This way I lose around 500 + 300 (that is 1800 I require-1500 I take) = 800 calories / day.

With this, I'll able to lose around 1 pound / 4-5 days and around 3-4 kgs / month. What I want to ask is, would that help me to reduce waist also ?

This is a wierd problem, but I'm trying to get back into weight lifting and my bar bell, when I add weight to it just seems to sink down into the back of my neck. I was thinking of wrapping a towel and duct tape around the bar, but just wondered if anyone else has had that problem and/or if anyone has an idea how to address it.
Thanks very much
PS - the weight of the bar and weights is not really an issue; I can lift it ok, it just then kills my back when i rest it on my shoulders.

It's become an issue both within and outside the sports world. Meanwhile, all of us - yeah, even you - use "legal" substances to improve our general feelings of well-being: aspirin, vitamins, booze, cigarets, prescription and over-the-counter drugs which promise to cure just about everything you can imagine in the second biggest scam in history (religion is Number One).

It is NOT the use of steroids that is ruining sports, no more than equipment and rule changes which favor some athletes, amateur and pro alike. What's putting sports down the toilet is all this nonsense about steroid use and illegal(?) gambling.
