Part of this would be your age?? Many girls (< 18) grow into their hips and become nicely shaped. Women (18 +) at 120 and 5'5" and hippy should not have people calling them fat as that is very becoming.
If people are calling you fat, they are either trying to transfer their shortcomings to you to make them feel better about themselves or trying to be mean just to be so.
Eat healthy and stay fit and you will not be sorry.

Everyone has time to exercise and the sooner you get in the habit then the better your future health will be not to mention your current health. Schedule time to workout even if it's before school. Once you make it a habit then you don't really think about it. Stop listening to what others think about your body. You have to feel good about your body. Barely eating actually slows down your metabolism. Cut out the junk food, sugary foods, start eating cleanly like fresh fruits, veggies, lean protein, whole grains but you've got to add the exercise component. No way around it. People are mean. Ignore them.

You are not fat at all. Your an average weight. Trust me a lot of people would die to be your weight. Exercising, and eating healthy is never a bad thing, but you probably exercise without even knowing it. Riding a bike is great exercise for thighs, but if you dont have time just try to walk faster when you are already walking, and if you even just have five minutes walk around, but i wouldnt walk in a circle if your at a public place. lol. I hope i helped. AND YOU ARE NOT FAT! AND YOU HAVE TO EAT if you dont your body will just eat your muscle and youll be weak and wont lose any weight. Just eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.

I doubt that you're "fat". At 5'5" and 120, technically you're not fat. But how much muscle mass do you have?
They're saying now that even if you're "thin" you can still be "fat" based on the amount of muscle you have or don't have.
Don't stop eating because that won't help at all! Eat protien and all that. If you're concerned about your legs, maybe you could do some lunges or squats before you go to bed or right when you get up? That would help build a good amount of muscle.

no your not. im 5,5 and 130. i have always been this weight. even when i play sports. and if you dont have a stomach then you dont have to worry about anything.
and try to wear different jeans maybe that will help. dark faded jeans that are a little loose and long make your legs look thinner and longer.
try to just make 20 or 30 mins of extra time to work out. just plan ahead of time and wake up early or excercise after school or work.
if you are still in school do soccer.
you'll have nice legs. my teammates and i had nice tone legs after a month.
good luck

How can 120lb and 5' 5" person POSSIBLY fat? The muscle and fat is distributed all over people's body and the distribution is not the same from person to person. If you do a BMI calculations, you are in the lower half of the "normal" weight for your height.

Who are you on the inside? I am 5'8" and weigh 160 and no one thinks I'm fat. I also LOVE MYSELF and am proud of who I am. I walk with confidence and pride, I love people and enjoy helping others. Maybe you need to look at others and not at yourself, sometimes we spend too much time in front of the mirror and not enough time being/helping/doing for others. Merry Christmas. By the way, I'm 65 years old.

No, everyone is built differently. My sister is 5'4 115 and she has a pudgy tummy. I'm 5'6 138 and have a flat toned tummy. By any estimation 5'5 120 is slim. Eat and exercise
