This is a wierd problem, but I'm trying to get back into weight lifting and my bar bell, when I add weight to it just seems to sink down into the back of my neck. I was thinking of wrapping a towel and duct tape around the bar, but just wondered if anyone else has had that problem and/or if anyone has an idea how to address it.
Thanks very much
PS - the weight of the bar and weights is not really an issue; I can lift it ok, it just then kills my back when i rest it on my shoulders.

Actually you can go to a home improvement store, buy some of the foam tubing for water pipes and put it on there. Works just fine.
