I would say I feel middle aged but yet I'm 31. A lot of my views and my outlook on life is much different from other people my age.
As far as "middle aged" goes someone could be say 50 but would have the joyfulness of being 25, like with many things its all a relative concept.

They say middle age is 50 not 40 these days.I only consider 'old' as a state of mind. I've met old people who are 21 and young people who are 60+.
Besides age is relevant. I used to think 30 was old till I got there yet somebody of 90 considers me young(I'm in my early 40's).
Age really is a state of mind. The only thing I don't like as you get older is the age discrimination you can get thrown at you for work and social situations. How old are you?

Time was when you could be called middle aged from late 30's and if you were 60 you were ancient. NOT so nowadays, it depends how you act and feel. I can tell you it comes as a shock when Saga start sending you their literature because you've just cracked 50!

Middle aged you're about fifty, because it is in between one and a hundred.

Old ... is about seventy plus I'd say.
Old people hate being called old, though :)

Fifty is the old age of youth and the youth of old age
