No joke- I'm a nursing student, age 51, healthy, no money, loose and painful wisdom tooth. How do I go about pulling it myself without damaging the mandible? I'm in pain and need to do this quickly before it absesses or something. Thanks.

I can't really remeber what it feels like. I'm going tommorow and I need to know if it's uncomfortable/painful, if I'm going to be miserable for the rest of the day, etc.. My dentist told me it's not that serious, but it's starting to crack (the old filling)..I went to the dentist last week, he said I could have come back two months from now, but because I have time off now, I decided to go the following wee. Anyway, just wondering if the less severity of it has to do with how painful or not the out come is, thanks!

Ok, I'm twelve years old, and lost my last canine tooth around the same time as I became a vegetarian, which was about seven months ago. It still has barely grown in at all. It makes me angry. My dad says that it's because I'm a vegetarian. Does anyone know if this is true?

when I stop taking it the sensitivity goes away, when I start again the pain starts again. Most articles claim fatty acids are protective for the heart and elevate your mood. I need this but can't deal with the tooth sensitivity which is extreme.Anyone know why or have suggestions as to the possible reason for this?

The gum underneath the tooth, which is the one on my left side of the bottom of my mouth hurts like heck when i touch it. if i press on it or my nail goes a little under the gum it hurts so much it feels like i hit a nerve or something. if i do the same thing to the other side of my mouth it doesnt hurt at all. I really hate the dentist.....i dont want to go! =[ (i know if it keeps up i will have to go..) could it be gingivitis, so all i need to do is get some mouthwash and clean regularly?

My friend smoked after and was in ALOT of pain because of a dry socket. But, do you think if i wait like, a week from today i will be ok? I dont want any complications.

when i went to the dentist last month they said my wisdom teeth are coming in and they refered me to an oral surgeon. but the thing is that i don't have constant pain it'll come and go maybe once a week or even every other week. my regular dentist took x-rays but yet also refered me to this surgeon to have my teeth looked at. but both my parents think i need to go to the surgeon to have them looked at. they basically said that if they aren't bothering you a lot then they aren't a problem. right now they hurt pretty bad. do you think i should try to convince them to take me to this oral surgeon? i just turned 15 at the begining of this month.
