my cousin had her braces on for 2 years and she didn't have dimples then none whatsoever.but she jus got her braces off yesterday and her smile is gorgeous and she has these HUGE DIMPLES?? how is this possible?

dimple is acually a defect in the muscles of the cheeks. the muscles are shorter and the pull of muscles as in smiling causes the defect to show up. usually this is genetic /inherited. but sometimes it can be a result of physical influences like braces or ballpen rotating habit on that particular triangle area of the cheeks.

Think about it. With the help of the brace, your cousin's teeth got re-arrange. She probably also had some tooth pulled out - now - with that, all the spaces that her teeth is occupying before are empty now. So, her skin in the face has a little shrinking to do. Or maybe she had dimples done.There could be so many reasons why she suddenly have dimples.
so don't be so amused and acting like dumbo, ok? I know, you're just admiring her dimples a lot. Carry on.

maybe she never smiled to full capacity because before she had braces she was conscious of her crooked teeth, and with braces she didn't want people to see them? maybe, just my theory...
