I had posted an earlier question about numbness after wisdom tooth extraction. I forgot to add the most important detail. It has been 1 month since, and I still have numbness in my lower lip area. It appears I have some nerve damage. The questions are how long should I expect this feeling to last? and Should I contact another dentist or oral surgeon? Is this permanent?

So basically, I went nineteen years with no cavities..and I go to a dentist, who says I have three bad cavities and four that are just beginning (but he won't drill them because I'm a nervous patient and he doesn't do nervous patients). I go to ANOTHER dentist who says I have ELEVEN cavities, and two of them need root canals. The problem is, my insurance runs out on Friday, I literally have no savings, and I can't get credit or a loan. The root canal teeth are the two right behind my left upper canine, so if I got them pulled, you would be able to see it. (My smile is something that's very important to me..I'm in shock as it is that I have ELEVEN cavities because I brush and floss twice a day.)

What other options do I have for these root canal teeth? I'm going in on Thursday to get as many fillings as I can in a 1.5 hour period (the dentist didn't really want to since this is my first time, but I kind of have to..). How long do I have until these root canal teeth start to rot? :/

One of the four is close to erupting the surface of the gumline back there so there is a possibility of cavity issues. Fine I can accept that, otherwise, that one plus the other three are slammed angularly against the adjacent molars and are not bothering me. I say just keep filling in the cavity prone wisdom tooth. Also, as I am getting older the wisdom teeth are becoming more and more impacted to my jaw bone making extraction a dangerous procedure in terms of nerve damage. I enjoy knowing that if I bite my tongue accidentally I'll stop before it gets gruesome. Help, I'm at a cross-road here. Yank or leave?

Ok so for the first 5 days of summer, I didn't brush my teeth because I couldn't find the toothbrush. Then my teeth turned dark yellow and I have been brushing 2-3 times a day ever since. It has been 3 months now and I have only seen a slight difference. Some tips on what to do to help make my teeth white without involving the dentist?

My gums right above my front teeth hurt so much. They feel better if I rub them with something a little abrasive like a toothbrush. But then that makes them bleed and the the feeling doesn't go away. I can't stop feeling how uncomfortable they feel and want to keep rubbing them but can't. Whats wrong with them and how do I make the feeling go away?

Why do dentists say "you may feel a little discomfort" when what they really mean is "You are about to scream like a stuck pig."

I just got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out. Now I'm swollen and am beginning to bruise. What can I do to make my face less swollen looking? I start work in a few days, a new job.. so I don't want people to think I'm getting abused at home or something. ahahaha

I dont wanan sound sappy but here lately i have been a emotional wreck cause this is a HUGE deal for me and i am tired of getting made fun of by other ppl. my boyfriend loves me for me and that means the WORLD to me.
