Call around and see what the dentists say. Sometimes they can do a "quick fix" to get you by for a few months. May be 30 or 40 bucks, but it may be worth it if you need an extraction or a root canal later on. See if they can just look at your tooth and give you a consult. You might also want to look for dentists who deal with patients who do not have insurance, sometimes they can work out payment arrangements or have reduced rates.
Hope this helps! :-)

Yes. Toothaches can affect your sinuses on the top and your jaw (especially) on the bottom. The temple is right above the jaw hinges on both sides. When I had really bad toothaches (infection/root canals), it felt like the whole side of my head had a spike through it! Try cold on the outside of your face. Heat will blow up a bad toothache; don't use it. Hope you feel better :-)

Ok, first of all, the pain is probably being caused by food getting stuck in it, either creating bacteria or putting pressure on the nerve in the tooth. So the main thing you want to do is to keep that tooth clean. If the tooth is decayed to the point there is a hole in it, you might be able to get stuck food out of it out by rinsing your mouth or using a toothpick. That will help ease the pain most of the time. If that doesn't take away the pain, I know NyQuil works very well, but it will also make you very tired.

Hon, check the yellow pages and find a dental school to get the tooth worked on it is seriously infected. The dental schools charge about $40.00 to work on your mouth and the students are working with the assistance of professional dental instructors. Good luck, Hon!
Hon, forgot, go to the ER and explain that you cannot afford to go to the dentist because of an insurance problem and can they help with the tooth pain and more than likely they will help you. Good luck, Hon!

You can take a aspirin and let it dissolve on the tooth. Doesn't taste good but it will help. Also maybe take some tylenol or if its really bad some excedrin migraine. Hope you feel better. I have had really bad tooth aches before and I know they are no fun.

Well, first I hope you've already made a dental appointment for September 1st.
I would take ibuprofen, Advil or Motrin; it will help with inflammation. My doctor told me after I had surgery that I could "piggy-back" Tylenol with Advil to help reduce the pain better. Best to check with your doctor. Or better yet ask a pharmacist; they will be able to help you, and you don't even need an appointment.
Hang-in-there. God Bless.

Buy some ALEVE and chew it up. Don't swallow it right away. Let it dissolve near the tooth that is hurting. You can do this several times a day with no worries. It's the only thing that works for me!!

GO TO THE DENTIST!!!
In a case like that, untreated tooth could mean loss of the complete tooth later or root canal. Get it treated ASAP!
Occasionally, if you know the dentist, you might be able to get him to date the invoice for Sept when your insurance kicks in. Ask nicely and see if something could be arranged.

It's probably infected (abscessed) you need some antibiotics like amoxocillian, then maybe a nice pail reliever like Tylenol 3 or vicodin.
