It can take up to a week. I had all 4 taken out in May. The best thing to do is put ice packs on for 20 minutes then off for 20 minutes. Also, take some ibuprofen (if your dentist says it's o.k.); it's an anti-inflammatory, so will reduce swelling.

I got all 4 of mine removed on Monday and they were impacted. My swelling down within the first few days. Make sure you ice it for the first two days and then have heat against it to help more with the swelling. Today is Sunday and the right side of my face still looks a little puffy but not as bad. Good Luck and welcome to the liquid diet!! Also make sure you try opening your mouth up each day to stretch it. :)

IF YOU HAD THESE OUT FRIDAY, AND TODAY IS SUNDAY, IT WILL TAKE A FEW DAYS FOR THE SWELLING TO GO AWAY.
FYI ICE/COLD IS EFFECTIVE ONLY IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS. AFTERWARD, IBUPROFEN AND WARM MOIST HEAT WILL BE BEST.
