Read that you can break open and put onto spoonfull of applesauce?...Help.?

Ask them to prescribe the amoxicillin liquid. It is readily available as they give it to kids.
Also check with regards to the need for premedication prior to dental appointments - there have been changes to the recommendations - if you have a heart condition there may no longer be a need for the medication - talk to your MD and DDS.

i have 3 children and a husband. the children do good with pills but my husband has more of a time. they can not give him the liquided form because of his body mass weight, however, there is also a thing called time laps. when a pill is broken open it releases the time laps of the pill because when it is whole is has a certain amout of time to break and seperate. when the pill is broken it takes longer. Sometimes that works for some and others it doesn't because then it will take a higher dosage. talk to your pharmacist and see what he/she has to say..good luck

I would call the dentist, and request a liquid antibiotic. The pills in capsules are often time released, and taking them all at once in the applesauce doesn't give you the correct doseage, in many cases.

Oh yes you're correct i would always do that but instead i would put the powder in ice cream YUM! but applesauce is great idea too!

some of those antibiotics u cant take or use milk products and someone on here said that. Check with your doctor on that but if it works, great. I am on an antibiotic right now and I have to have food in my stomach or my stomach suffers big time!!

hi, yes u can empty them into whatever takes your fancy, dont worry they,ll still be effective, the pill cover is nothing but a casing.
