Ok, I'm twelve years old, and lost my last canine tooth around the same time as I became a vegetarian, which was about seven months ago. It still has barely grown in at all. It makes me angry. My dad says that it's because I'm a vegetarian. Does anyone know if this is true?

I KNOW THE TRUTH AND YOUR DIET HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PERMANENT CANINE TOOTH.

It isn't because you are a vegetarian as diet has no bearing on your tooth eruption. Sometimes it just takes a while for your new teeth to erupt. Make sure that you are getting a balanced diet (like the other poster said, get your protein (eat your beans!)

No. One has nothing to do with the other. And being a vegeterian is completely healthy- just make sure you are getting the appropriate amount of protein (found mostly in meats).
