My dad is diabetic. He broke his leg at the knee at work 9 days ago. The doc said the break wasn't bad enough to require surgery or even be in a cast and that it would heal on its own (I think this is the craziest thing I ever heard).
Anyhow, one of my main concerns is he is still really bruised and it doesn't look any better from the day it happened. The weird part is his foot is really bruised even though he didn't hurt it at all and he has had this weird tingling, numb feeling in his foot since he got hurt. He can't wiggle his toes either and he can't really feel your hand if you touch his foot.
He is supposed to be coming home from the hospital tommarrow. Should he be coming home this soon? I am also really worried about the bruise and numb feeling in his foot since he is diabetic.

Does anyone have any advice? Should I maybe take him to a different hospital and have them look at him.

Thanks to anyone who answers.

Lately I have been having an achy feeling in my left lower abdomen, in my pelvic area. Its like I'm sore in this area, especially when I move I can feel it. I would think that I was possibly pregnant, but I had my period about a week and a half ago. This pain has been going on for about 2 weeks and I'm not sure what it could be. Can anyone help me?

My mother informed me that she has a green and black goo that leaks out of her breasts. She is 42 yrs old and has had 3 kids, the youngest of us is 14 yrs old and she breastfed us all. She said its been like that since the last baby. What could this be? We want to do a little research on it. Haven't been to the dr yet. I don't know why she never said anything to her dr. She didn't say. Got any ideas what it sounds like it could be?

A friend of mine takes the stuff. I believe the commercial name is Deca Durabolin or just Durabolin. He was telling me how it has no side effects, etc. But what I was wondering what about negative feedback mechanisms from the endocrine system? How does it work?

I've been in the fitness game forever and I've never seen gains like his. I was seriously considering taking it but that little voice in my head is warning me. I won't do anything until I learn more from a pharmacist or health care professional but for the mean time I'd like to hear from experience.

I only want answers from people who have taken it or otherwise know what they are talking about. I'm looking for information about nandrolone and I don't want to be lectured. I can spot a fake and I know when you're talking s**it. Any one who doesn't comply will get thumbed the f**k down.

I am 16 years old and the girl I care deeply for just turned 18 but has to stay in her home to finish high school, because she is home schooled. I will admitt we are in a relationship and that is why her parents are doing what they are doing. Thats why I don't know what to do I'm afriad no one will help her and us because of what we are together anyways. her parents are confining her to her house, strictly limiting who she talks to and interacts with (about 10 or less people not in her family) no one else they go through all of her belongings and everything on her computer on a regular basis. I don't know what to do I know that this is emotional abuse but I don't know what I can do!!! I'm just a kid! nobody listens to kids and the fact i'm homosexual makes it harder to get help. I want to get her out of there safe I don't want her crying herself to sleep anymore. She tells me she has to stay there to finish school but what they are doing to her is wrong. please somebody help us

I usually get home after school and feel depressed. Therefore I don't feel like getting out of the house or doing anything really. I have a soccer class in school, we run but I just don't push myself hard enough. I come home and eat until I feel sick enough to stop. During the weekends is alot worse. Probably gain 5-10 lbs. I think it's just been a bad year and I feel depressed and want to take my anger out on food. Every weekend I say, "I need to go on a diet." But it just get's worse.

Any ways to change the way I eat and the way I feel about my weight? Help me live a healthier life!

How do I get my mom to believe Im really sick? She keeps saying I need to save my days, (at my school we only get 10 sick days) bcuz my aunt has had surgery on her leg and she might lose her foot, but I only used one day so far. I AM sick, and I dont want to be. (Oh, and I CAN spell, I just dont feel like it) To tell u the truth, I like school. It's the place to scialize, learn, have some fun with friends, etc. But, bcuz of my aunt, my mom wants me to save my days in case we have to travel (she lives in a diff. state), but I just need a couple days (the weekend + 1 day) to get everything together and relax my throat, bcuz at school, u have to talk if the teacher calls on u, and my throat hurts so bad its hard to talk. My temp. is 99.0, and my mom sez tht that isnt a fvr. U can be sick without a fvr, u no. Cuz I am. I just need to no how to get my mom to REALLY believe me, cuz I just need 1 Day!! Plz dnt answer me w/"go to schl, dnt b-leeve u" or "make urself puke".Tks 4 whoevr believes

My son has had a cough for the past couple nights. Non productive and dry. This afternoon, he started sounding congested, and in the past couple hours his voice has become sort of hoarse.. He sounds like he needs to clear his throat, but when he tries, his throat sounds reallly dry, so I am guessing it is just congested. Does these symptoms sound like a cold to you?? There is also no sign of a fever. I will make him an appoitment on Monday if he does not get better, but for the time being, I have been treating him with over the counter products. Also he is three years old.

I appreciate any advice you have. I have been on Paxil for 4.5 years now. I began getting horrible panic attacks after the birth of my daughter, plus I was stressed as my now ex-husband lost his job and I learned he was doing drugs. I was on Paxil before my daughter was born(not during pregnancy) because I was having severe panic attacks. I had switched from Buspar, which made me feel like a complete zombie.
So when my daughter reached 3 months(she is now 4.5 years old), I began having those panic attacks again. My dr. put me on Paxil again, and I have been on it for over 4 years now. Good news, no panic attacks, but I feel like its not helping my depression. I am also on Welbutrin, 300 mg a day for depression and I was trying to quit smoking on it, which sadly, I did for awhile, then I am back on them. I still suffer from depression, and probably always will. Can a medication stop being effective after so long? Is there another depression med that I should try?

Since Sept 13 I have lost 15lbs. Between then and now I have experienced shortness of breath, chest pain and rapid heart beat. Those are gone now but also have had warm red bumps on my legs and arms which also are gone now but when those went away I have had leg and ankle pain and a swollen right ankle. I've had the pain for several weeks now. Everyone including the doctor thought the bumps were bug bites but they did not itch and I know they werent.

My husbands grandmother is 84. We live together. She has suffered from paranoid schizophenic and depression for at least 30-40 years. She is such an active person and so nice to be around when she is on her meds. Mostly around holidays she quits her meds and either gets dilusional or gets weak and u have to take care of her all day every day. She doesn't do anything for herself. We start giving her the meds and she will get better in a few weeks. It's been close to 2 weeks or a little after and nothing has changed. Is it possible she will not come out of it?????Anyone else go through this?

Well, I received a wardrobe from a neighbor who moved away to another country. However, my dad said he doesn't want to use it because he's afraid there might be diseases or something in the wardrobe. He said something about "something that irritates the skin" ...because we don't know if the owner had anything like that. Is there a way to kill any bacteria or something in the wardrobe? Or are we just thinking too much? Haha, anyways, thanks.
