It's fine. If the kids have been exposed, I would treat them. And wash all the bedding in hot water then dry in a hot dryer. Remember to do all the coats and hats too.
Good luck.

No. What you need to do is get rid of the problem. Take all of the bedding in the house and wash it in hot water. Everyone's the clothes too. Get the lice spray and spray everything in her room down. Carpet, curtains, etc. Take all of her stuffed animals and put them in big garbage bags, spray it and leave them in there for about a month. Spray down all your furniture and everywhere your daughter sat or slept. Treat your daughter's head with a lice shampoo and go through it carefully behind the ears and by the neckline. Treat her again in about a week. If the treatment is too expensive cover her head with mayo and wrap it in a plastic bag for a couple of hours. It wouldn't hurt to spray again in a week or so too. Put her pillow in a hot dryer and run it through a cycle. Wash everything that she wore on her head and her brushes, combs, etc. Contact her teacher at school so they are aware of this problem since it's probably one of her friends that she comes in contact with who's mother is not taking all these steps to get rid of them. I've gone through this process many times when my children were young and although it sounds like a lot of work it's the only way to get rid of them. If you don't find out where they're coming from the problem won't go away. That's why you need to contact the teacher so she can keep her eye on the kids that are scratching their heads in school. Tell your daughter not to use anyone else's brushes or combs. Cutting your daughter's hair will make it easier for you to work with but the lice are down towards the roots so when you go through it make sure you pay attention to the neckline. The reason you need to treat again in a week is because that's how long it usually takes for the new eggs to hatch so it's a good idea for double treatment. It would probably be a good idea to treat other family members too since the little critters jump. G-Luck.

There should be an expiration on the bottle. Worst come to worse use it and if it doesn't work go buy some more. Off store brands do the same job and are cheaper than the name brand stuff. If you still have the directions there should be a customer hotline to use for help(or check the bottle). Good luck!

Any kind of medications come with an EXPIRY DATE which has to be printed as law states it.
It will be either at the bottom, or on the cover, just close to price tag.
If its long overdue, its better not to take a chance as you have to use it on the head itself.

It should still be good...that stuff stays good for a while...
However, remember, you gotta do everyone's hair and all of the linens...carpet, bedding...etc. etc...
What an expense...
Oh, and if you have a dog or a bird as a pet...they will and can carry lice also...so you might wanna do the pets too.
Cats, don't carry lice...
Good luck.

there should be an expiration date somewhere on the bottle. If you've had it less than a year, it is probably still good.

there should be a customer service number on the bottle, maybe even a website that you could take a look at. maybe that will help.
