Can someone tell me why Melatonin gives vivid dreaming?
I'd like to know the technical/scientific reasoning behind it.

Also, why does people say Melatonin can "cure" depression, but it is also advised not to take if you have depression (oxymoron)

my grandma has a pretty bad headache today. Shes had some before, but never this bad. One side of her head hurts. she has arteriosclerosis. Could her headache be related to that? Could she be having a migraine? What are the signs of a migraine?

i had a bladder infection and began to take antibiotics. the day after i began taking the medicine, i began my period, which came 11 days early. it lasted the normal 5-6 days. i had sex ten days after the beginning of my period and now it has been 3 days and i am seeing light bleeding, like how your period is when it JUST starts. what is wrong with me? could i be getting my period again even though i just had it 2 weeks ago?

On my right hand i have stubbed my middle and ring finger so many times (football). well everytime i start playing PS2 or games where i hold a controller in such way the joints of my middle and ring will start hurting and it will keep on till i stop playing for 30 minutes. Could that be arthritus? and WAT SHOULD I DO. oh and as i type this the finger i put on s when ever i move it up some times it will hurt on the joint and i will hear grinding....

when the semester started, I was feeling very confident and really into studying. Now suddenly, I was hit by a severe case of PMS and prolonged back pains which may have been nothing but just all in my head. My grandfather died three weeks ago and I have a hard time helping my grandmother grieve. I've dealt with a baby shower, two birthdays in the last month, and this year hasn't been well for me. I'm working hard on a petition and do not feel successful, lost 3 grandfathers, several allergies and colds this year, quit my job I hated so I can go back to college and had to drop one class because I knew I would not be able to pass it. Now I have a doctor's appt I'm nervous about and just now finding out I need to make an appt for something personal. I wanted the house to myself but now my father doesn't want to go on vacation. I no longer have any motivation for college but I do not want to drop out which I did twice. How do I pull myself together so I can finish college?

I brush and floss about 2-3 times a day to help with my minor gingivitis. I decided to invest in a nice electric toothbrush (nicer than my Oral B Vitality but cheaper than the one at the dentist office) and now, I got a new Waterpik water rinse thingy.

Can I both floss and use the Waterpik as part of my teeth cleaning and gum maintenance routine (I know it's time consuming)?

I have a spot on my lower abdomin, it is a raised spot that looks like a puss pocket white and purple with the surrounding area that is red. It is not hard but soft and tender to the touch, and also feels warm. I'm wondering if it could be a spider bite, shingles or flesh eating virus or bacteria.
Does anyone know of a site that might have pictures of these conditions that I might be able to compare it to? Thanks

I have really bad anxiety. What are the best treatments for chronic, intense worry and anxiety? I will consider pharmaceuticals, herbs, supplements, and anything else.

I really need to get a handle on this because it creates a lot of problems in my life (job, etc.) and my relationships.

I have tried a number of antidepressants in the past. None of them did a thing except Celexa, which made my anxiety DISAPPEAR!! However, I had extreme side effects that forced me to go off the medication. This experience made me believe that my anxiety is chemically based.

QUESTION: Your question was

about me: 21 , heterosexual male, and i have bad health.



About a Month ago i took an OraQuick Rapid Test for H.I.V.

(the blood draw one) and The Results were "NEGATIVE".



Reason i took it:



for the last two years i've been having weight loss in my face like my cheeks narrow, my face use to be fuller, and i get colds and sore throats easy, headaches, chestpain, eye twitches.



Before I took the H.I.V. Test it had been 3 Years since i had unprotected sex. The Counselor at the clinic wondered why i waited so long to take an H.I.V. Test. I waited so long, because i had a cold that lasted longer than 3 weeks and i freaked out...like damn why is my immune system so low.



Okay after the Negative Test results, I went on about my life, but I start having real bad nosebleeds at work that lasted longer than 20 -30mins.. i was working in a warehouse around alot of dry air and pressure treated wood.

I went to two doctors and they both ran "blood tests" on me, and said I'm perfectly fine, i just need to get out of that environment, so i got out of my job.



But currently i still notice my skinny face, severe headaches, eye twitching, blurry vision sometimes..not often.



I'm afraid to hang out with my old friends, because they'll notice my face and say "damn whats wrong with you".



I've been eating properly, my body hasn't changed..just my face!



its strange...



i asked a few people and they told me, maybe i should take a Panel STD TEST...but So far i've taken an H.I.V. and TWO SIMPLE BLOOD TESTS.

do i need a PANEL STD BLOOD TEST?

I personally think its heart problems or brain problems..
maybe.

but can you get a cold sore and NOT have herpes?

and im not sure what it is but i get it once or twice every two months
